So my fear has come true...
McKinley and I met my mom at the McDonald's today for a quick lunch. We were sitting enjoying lunch when all out of nowhere McKinley yells..."mom look...witch!" As she is pointing I look over and see a poor homeless woman sitting drinking a soda and eating a burger. She was covered head to toe in dirt. My heart sank. I felt so bad. McKinley is so innocent and didn't mean anything bad by what she was saying...she really thought the woman was a witch. Over and over she kept telling and pointing, I kept shhhing her and telling her no McKinley she is nice and not a witch. Oh well, it was hopeless. Luckily I think we were far enough away the lady didn't notice or hear anything, but still so embarrassing. The fear that one day your kid will say something embarrassing and you have no control came true today. Hopefully never again! However when we got home she did say..."mom witch at donalds....." AHHHHH.

Finally...2 year stats
So finally...I took McKinley in for her two year wellness check. About a month late. Oh well what do you do! Thankfully sweet McKinley is healthy and great.
She is in this stage where she loves anything doctor related. For her birthday she even got her own doctor med bag. She has done quite the examinations haha...checks mama's heart every thirty minutes! She yells...ba boom...ba boom! She uses a flashlight to check our ears, mouth, and points to on legs and arms. She always has to ask "does it hurt?" "fall down?"...melt my heart. Who knows maybe we are on to something...a future Dr. McKinley...you never know!
McKinley did need one last shot, she didn't even cry this time. We talked about being a big girl and being brave. She did AMAZING! She was laughing and talking to the doctor and nurses...I kept watching in disbelief. What a big girl I have now! I am such a proud mama!
The doctor proceeded to tell me a study that shows/guesstimates how tall your two year old will be as an adult with a high percentage of accuracy. I was shocked to hear the news. Give or take an inch or two at the most...the doctor said McKinley will be 5'11'' tall...holy crap! haha! We have a volleyball player on our hands and I am stoked! She is one tall lean machine! He said he can't see her being much smaller then 5'9''. If you see me outside practicing a spike approach with my two year old you know why now!
She is still in the 20th percentile for weight at a whopping 25 lbs. and she is 34-35'' tall...
I am just glad she is healthy and strong. And more importantly doesn't need any more shots till Kindergarten....woohooo!

Happy Birthday Sweet Girl
Happy Birthday McKinley Rian! At 6:24 p.m. our bundle of joy was brought into this world two years ago! It is amazing how time passes so quickly!
I hope our little 9/11 diva has a great and wonderful day. She gets to spend the day with her daddy. I will meet them for lunch over at McKinley's favorite place, Burger King, so she can play in the playland. James will go to class when I get home and later in the evening when he is all done we will open presents and have a treat.
We are so blessed to have such a beautiful, sweet and funny little girl in our family. I love being her mom! Happy Birthday Mac!

worst campfire evvvver
we decided to have a fire pit tonight even though the entire state seems to be burning down at the moment. we wanted to sit and enjoy eating some smores in our backyard and did this happen...not even close. we did chow our smores down in record time to just get this fire over with. james was having "issues" getting the fire started...the paper was flying around covering our clothes in soot. he was getting grumpy and wanted to hurry along with the evening. mckinley looooved the fire...a little too much to james' liking. he was tense watching her every move, because he thought of course her entire motive was to touch the fire. bahahahaha. she looved chocolate and ate half a bar in her camp chair. as we started to relax and kick back i felt a pain in my side....like a bad pain. yep, i of course, get stung by a bee while sitting in my camp chair! campfire ended, period. we are showered up watching elmo, and much happier now.

Want a Carrot?
We had a very nice Easter weekend at our house. Saturday, we held our very first family egg hunt in our backyard. We video taped McKinley running around picking up as many eggs as she could, shaking each one as she picked them up to make sure there was a surprise in there. It was so fun to watch her, I was standing there video taping her thinking oh my goodness look at how grown up she is now. Miss. Independent! After the egg hunt we went inside and I cooked up an Easter dinner. It was so nice to be at home and eat dinner as a family and enjoy one another.
Easter morning, McKinley woke up and found the Easter Bunny had come! She had found a giant wagon in the front room, for many now to come spring and summer walks! She wouldn't get out of the wagon all morning, James even had to walk to the wagon around our front room oh at least a hundred times bahaha! We got ready for church, took some Easter pics, and went over to the Campbell's for an Easter afternoon. We were wiped out by the end of the day, but we sure had a fabulous Easter. McKinley sure brings so much happiness and fun to our family. She is a great blessing and we just love her more then anything!

18 months old
Good news, I have a healthy growing lil' girl! She is doing great! I love her dr. and am soooo glad he takes time with her and me both to make sure we are okay.
McKinley's 18 Month Stats
Height: almost 33 inches
Weight: 23 lbs.
Head: still 10th percentile
Dr. said she had a major growth spurt from the last time he saw her. She is getting sooo tall!
This picture was taken a year ago at this time! Look at how fast they grow! I have learned to love every minute and moment, and not to blink! Love you boo boo!
