15 month check up

McKinley's 15 Month Check-Up

We went to the doctor yesterday for McKinley's 15 month check up. She had to get two shots. I thought oh no big deal she will be fine. She hasn't reacted badly to any of the other ones she has gotten from the past. Boy was I wrong! She bawled and bawled the entire time at the doctor and on the way home. When we got home I gave her a bottle and she kept looking up at me saying ma-ma ow-ie and pointing to her legs! Break my flippin heart! She wasn't fevering so I put her in her crib and she took a good long nap. Daddy got home from work and I left for a few hours to go get my hair done. When I got home she seemed to be fine, put her to bed like usual...and then....BAWLING....crying for ma-ma! Let's just say I was up till after 2 this morning with a fevered, non happy, snuggly baby! After soothing and snuggling she went to bed, but this morning I had to give her some baby meds still. Poor baby! I really hate seeing her so miserable! She is down for a nap right now and hopefully when she wakes up she will be feeling much better! 15 month check up's are for the birds!

Clarification though, McKinley is growing perfectly and is healthy! Doctor said she was doing great! She is also starting to WALK dun dun dun! Finally! haha! She took a few steps the other day...maybe by Christmas we will have a walking baby...prolly not though she loves her knees! bahaha!

Being a Mommy Makes Me Merry!

Gearing up for the holidays! I hear my little munchkin in her room playing in her crib right now instead of taking a nap, and I just feel an enormous amount of happiness and gratitude of being her ma...ma! She makes me soooo happy and merry! McKinley is a ball of energy and keeps me on my toes. I cannot remember life without her. Our family has been blessed ever since she joined us! Here is to a happy holiday season, and being merry for the little things and the little blessings (mckinley's) in our lives!

Bedtime Check

Each night before James and I go to bed we go into McKinley's room to check on her. We love to say one last goodnight to our sweet angel baby.

Last night we walked into her dark cozy room and found this!

She had flipped herself the opposite direction, found a soft fluffy pillow to sprawl out on, took her blankies off, and made herself comfortable!

She really cracks us up! McKinley even makes us laugh and smile when she is sleeping! She is such a good girl and James and I can't get enough of her!

She is ONE

That's right...McKinley is ONE! We went in to the doctor today for her one year check up. We were a little late in the month going, because of my trip back to Oregon and with work things going on. Anyhow, it is over with and we are happy to report she is growing beautifully.

She is eating "grown up" food and loving it. Her favorites are chicken nuggets, french fries, oranges, ice water, peas, and green beans. She loves juice boxes now too with some scooby snacks

My Little Now Big Eleven Month Old

McKinley is 11 months old! I can't believe she is almost a one year old! This time has been so precious and wonderful. I feel like it was just yesterday I was holding her in my arms in the hospital. Now look at her, she is wearing her big girl night gown for the first time...she is crawling all over the place...eating mac and cheese bahahah...totally being a family comic relief by throwing her hands up for sooo big...doing bye bye and starting to say buh buh in a sweet little voice...giving mom a high five! All I can say is...this goes by too quick! Slow down Miss. McKinley...mama wants you to stay a lil' baby please!

My parents took our entire family to Maui in July when my brother Shane got home from his mission. What an amazing time we had! I loved this place so much. It was the most breath taking place I have ever been to. Thanks dad and mom for taking us to the coolest most beautiful place I could ever dream about! We are all very lucky and blessed to have you as our parents! McKinley is one lucky grand baby...she is spoiled...the pics say it all!

McKinley is growing and healthy. We love her more and more each and every day. We are grateful that she is developing so wonderfully. She is scooting and army crawling her way around more and more. We had to lower her crib setting haha! Can't wait to see what's ahead next. It's always a new adventure and mystery with this very active baby girl!

Tub Time Is A Good Time

After the tub...she wanted to ride on her horsey! haha! Giddy up boo boo!

McKinley loves the tub! I mean she is laughing and kicking as soon as she hears the water filling up the tub! We play and splash and get all cleaned up. I love my time with her in the morning and night when we do tub time. Hopefully she will always love the tub and enjoy getting cleaned up after a loooong day. Have I mentioned she is on this kick of waking up at the break of dawn and not wanting to take as many naps...she's growing up...sigh...and that is why I am going to say goodnight!

Mommy Loves Boo!

I also have a wonderful husband, who cleaned the ENTIRE house for me on Sat. morning, bought me a new skirt for church, and a new shirt for Hawaii, made breakfast for dinner on Sun. and then cleaned it all up! What a man! What an amazingly handsome and loving man I have for a husband! I feel spoiled, pampered, and loved! I love this whole mom thing!

My Little Sidekick

My sidekick and I have a blast. Today we played on her blankie outside for awhile, and then we took a walk around the neighborhood. McKinley decided to talk to everyone outside on her way around...she laughed and cooed, kicked her shoes off, squirmed around and squealed with delight. Anytime I take this baby outside when the weather is nice enough she has a blast! I am going to have to invest in a mini pool for her to sit and play in this summer and a lounge chair for myself. I can tell we will be spending a lot of time outdoors! Lather up the sunscreen for the baby and bring on the diet coke for mama!

Chick Me Out

She has to be the cutest little spring chick I have ever seen! I just can't help myself, McKinley is so patient and loving to her mommy to allow me to do this with her. I tell James all the time, this kid is my sidekick, and I do love every minute of it. We do everything together! I am the lucky one! She sure is a blessing and gift!

Six Months Already

McKinley Rian Campbell....six months today whoop whoop! Isn't she cute!?!?

Baby McKinley is six months old today, and to celebrate we went to the doctor for a shot...woohoo! She is our little trooper and did amazing. She is one tall baby, still 85-90 percentile 26 1/2 to 27 inches tall...she was squirming so it was hard to get an accurate measurement, they took the smaller of the measurements haha. McKinley is 16 pounds putting her at the fifty percentile mark, and her head use to be only 15 percentile but is now a whopping 35-40 percentile hahahahahah...this made us laugh so hard. She use to have the tiniest little head, and both James and I have noticed that her head has been getting larger. She just keeps getting smarter I guess:) We have one healthy baby and a lot to be grateful for. The doctor said she is such a strong baby with amazing abs...both dad and mom are jealous! Prediction from the doctor is she will be crawling and walking in no time....NOOOOOOO....where is my tiny lil' newborn! I love baby mac so much and can't even express how much I love being her mom. It is the most rewarding job and experience anyone could ever have. James and I could not be any luckier, she is the BEST baby ever!!!

McKinley is a BIG Girl!

McKinley is a big girl now, first time in her highchair tonight! We went to the doctor's today for her four month check up and shots, ouch! I hate it! haha! She's a trooper and doing great though! The doctor's and nurse's loved her and she was putting on the show for them, laughing and smiling being the lil' ham that she is. Still has a pea head 20 percentile, but holy cow she is a tall baby girl, 26 inches long 97 percentile, and skinny minny for her height at a whopping 14 pounds! Doc said she looked great, healthy and happy! We can start feeding her rice and then move onto other foods, but boy oh boy, this lil girl hated every second of trying it tonight. She just wanted her bottle. Second try tomorrow, let's hope we can have better luck. McKinley is the sweetest and most precious baby EVER! We love her so much and look forward to many more fun experiences with her. Love you boo boo!

4 Months

Can you believe this little angel is almost four months? On the 11th! Just a few days away! She goes to the doctor's on Friday for her four month shots and check up! I am the luckiest mommy, McKinley is the biggest and best blessing in my life. I am so thankful to be able to watch her grow everyday at home. I am extremely lucky to have a husband who wants me home with our baby, and makes it possible for us to do this. Shout out to James, I love you! She's a keeper!
