Stucco Time

This is how the front of our house will look! I really do love the way it turned out! It is a dark brown with a lighter brown trim. We wanted to be different, but still in the modern trend. This was by far the most challenging and scary decision we had to make when building this house. We just wanted it to look beautiful and we tried sooo hard to picture it when looking at those little swatches at the store. Our garage door and front door will be painted a dark brown too! Hope you all like it! P.S. move in date is April 29th!

An Accident By the Basement Window

It has been a very productive week at the new Campbell residence. They have finished insulating the house, the Sheetrock is in, and believe it or not the brick is done on the exterior of the home too! We would have taken pictures of the exterior but there is a huge dump truck in the front yard for scraps and garbage so we will wait for that to be moved. Tonight we met with the finisher who will customize all bedroom closets, laundry room, and hall closet. We also talked with the boys muddin' the house they were not happy campers because the meter for the heat hasn't been turned on yet ahhhh! City of West Haven watch out you are in big trouble! On a funny note I had my first accident at the house...unfortunately the steps to our house are not done so the only way to get in is to jump through the windows. Normally I have not had any trouble with this, but tonight was a different story. I jumped through the basement window and I landed but then....yes.....I fell hahaha! Right on my knee. Luckily nobody saw or I would have been so embarrassed. The one question I have though is....where the heck was my husband??? Oh he was already upstairs checkin everything out! Big trouble James....where's the love?

Feburary 27 Update

After just one week the entire house has been framed, the roof is up, and the arches outside and inside have been partially done, and the windows have almost been all installed! Next week our foreman told us that heating, electricity, and insulation will be done. We will see:) Today we went back to the carpet store, and we changed our minds from our previous choice. We love the new carpet we chose...it's a new one the carpet store just got! P.S. it was freaking hilarious watching Cindy Lou jump out the back door onto a bail of hay! Linzi and Shane hopefully will be coming to walk through it pretty soon too! Dad and Mom will have to keep the updating online for right now, but we are excited for you guys to walk through it too when it's completed! Dad is keeping us on our toes with all the inspection things to be looking out for. Oh, all the trash and extra boards in the front of the house are all picked up now!

Now it's a house

Looking out the Master Bedroom Window
Hall Closet

Fireplace in the Family Room

Kitchen Area, Dining Room, 1/2 Bath

Well after one day of being in classes all night I came home tired and exhausted. James told me to look at some pictures he had taken on our camera, because he had gone by the house. Oh my goodness! I was sooo excited! They have been working like crazy! As you can see the house is pretty well framed...I'm looking forward to when the walls are up so I can visualize it a bit better!
